Idaho's Professional Photographer of the Year | 2007

Hello,

This is a message brought to you from Shawn the lesser known co-owner of Kristi Sheriff Photography.  I wanted to take a moment to inform you of some exciting news here at the studio! Kristi is the Professional Photographers of Idaho Photographer of the Year for 2007!!!! , and since this was her first year entering she also received Rookie of the Year!

Every year Professional Photographers from all over Idaho get together and compete. This was our first year competing so we were pretty nervous.  Fortunately, we had a great year and won numerous awards.  It is quite and honor for all of us here at the studio.  For Kristi to win the combo of Photographer of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards in her first year is almost unheard of. In fact, records show it only happened once before, and Kristi is the first woman to ever do it. Of course she had help and we have to give credit where credit is due.  The studio wouldn’t function without our two supermodel employees Joslyn and Jennifer.  They are so helpful and supportive we couldn’t ask for more.   And Kristi and I have received quite a bit of help and support from our local photographers.  We owe special thanks to Leon and Pam at Hart Photography, Clyde and Evelyn Hymas from Hymas Photography, the Brian and Tamara Brown at Brown Photography, and especially Dennis “the hamster” Hammon at Hammon Photography.  Dennis is always willing to take time out of his busy schedule and meet with us and he is our most cherished critic!  I am amazed at how these photographers put aside their competitiveness to meet with you and impart their years of experience to make you a better photographer.  I cannot think of another career where people are so giving and selfless.  You all are not just great photographers but great people to whom we owe a world of thanks. We consider the most cherished award to be the standing ovation she received at the banquet.  Kristi wasn't able to be there to see it since she was working, but I was sure proud of her that night.  We also need to thank you, our customers. Without you we would not exist and have opportunities like this.  Thank you all so much!!! Shawn
